    Hi kiloj757,

I can’t follow those links, because they’re in your WP admin area, which requires login.

Google Drive is the trickiest method to set up. Dropbox is easiest – it requires nothing more than logging into the Dropbox website, so is about as easy as could be imagined.

One a backup is made, you can either download it via FTP from wp-content/updraft, or just (easier) click the button from the “Restore” section that will appear after you’ve made a backup in the UpdraftPlus dashboard page.

Yes, files and database are backed up.

If the site is totally destroyed, then you make a new WP install, and upload the backup files from your PC. See the various FAQs at updraftplus.com.

    Best wishes,
    David

    You’re welcome!

I’m sorry but i had the same problem, I did a backup, but i have the message “you don’t have any backups completed yet” So, following the instructions David Anderson gave, how could I download the backup, if it never finished?

The last lines of the log file are:

0080.713 (9) Adding batch to zip file: over 1.5 seconds have passed since the last write (0 Mb, 1 (205) files added so far); re-opening (prior size: 4584.1 Kb)
0082.280 (9) A zip error occurred - check your log for more details.
0082.282 (9) ZipArchive::Close returned an error. List of files we were trying to add follows (check their permissions).
    0082.290 (9) File: plugins/js_composer/assets/images/icons/elements/application-icon-large.png (exists: 1, size: 1472)

I tried making another backup, but i got this:

0000.057 (2) The backup directory (D:\Hosting\1234567\html/backup120713) is not writable.
    0000.063 (2) Saving backup history
    0000.092 (2) Resume backup (990ec962cc8f, 2): finish run
0000.094 (2) There were no more files that needed uploading; backup job is complete
0000.097 (2) There were errors in the uploads, so the 'resume' event is remaining scheduled
0000.100 (2) No email will be sent - this backup set was empty.
0000.103 (2) The backup has not finished; a resumption is scheduled within 5 minutes

So, how can I do a backup of my site?
    Thanks,

    Hi TitaSofia,

Just send the most recent one, but let the backup run for an hour first before getting it – it’s normal for things to stop-start, depending on the size of your website and the resources that your web host allows.

    David

I got the first backup running for about 3 hours… is it normal?

    Hi Tina,

What’s normal depends on many things…

That last one has only just begun. Leave it an hour, and then post the log after that.

    David

Thanks… I’ll do it again and tomorrow i’ll post the log in case i didn’t got the backup. Do you recomend I do a new topic?
    Thanks

    (@davidanderson)

    Hi TitaSofia,

A new topic is probably best – we won’t know if it’s the same problem as this one until we’ve got the log files.

    David
