    This is the first time I’ve needed to restore using this plugin and it doesn’t seem to be working correctly.

    I began the restore process at least 12 hours ago, and it says it’s still restoring. Now my site is broken (the navigation menu is a disaster) and I can no longer log in to my admin dashboard (Error “Sorry you are not allowed to access this page”).

    This entire experience has been a disaster, and there is no clear way for me to fix it. Searching the support forums is no help, as similar problems seem to have been fixed privately so no public guidance is available.

    Please advise.

    Backup & Restore Dropbox Support Team

    helena46, I backed up my site with Dropbox Backup and Restore, and so far it looks like the backup executed properly. I am interested in restoring to a staging server before restoring live, and when you reply to restore/backup questions via private email, no one else benefits from your replies. In the future, will you also post your replies in the support forum so that all might benefit? Even though “all installations are not the same”, we can learn and subsequently bug you less.
