    Hi there,

I installed BackUpWordPress the other day on my business site. It seems to automatically make backups okay. Though I’ve not tried performing a restore yet, the zipped backup files appear to contain the right site files and directories.

However, when I click Download on either a daily database or weekly complete backup, I receive the following error (where I have replaced the actual filename with [backupfilename]):

    Not Found

The requested URL /wp-content/backupwordpress-76f01721a7-backups/[backupfilename].zip was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I am able to successfully see and download the backup files via my cPanel’s File Manager. The file paths and names indicated in the error messages (like the above quoted one) are actually correct.

Any ideas why I cannot download it via the Download link within Tools > Backups though?

    Versions:
    WordPress 4.4.1
    BackUpWordPress 3.4.2
    PHP 5.4.45

    Thanks,
    Brian

Hey there Brian – this is actually a bug the developers are working on a release for now. I’ll let you know when that’s released, okay?

    Hey Kat,

    Thanks I’d appreciate that. ??

Perhaps I can share a bit of info to help narrow the issue down. I installed this on a client’s web store last night and the Download link works perfectly. The only difference between our sites (as far as WordPress goes) is that my WordPress files are located in a folder off of the root (/wordpress) while my client’s is in the root directory itself (/). Not sure if that matters, but I thought I’d share just in case.

    Peace,
    Brian

Yes – I know the developers have narrowed it down to problems when the site is installed in a subdirectory. They’re just trying to get the fix working ??

Thanks again and I will update the ticket when that fix is released!

The last release should have fixed this for you. I’m marking this as resolved but if you have an issue just comment back here and I’ll reopen and we can do further testing.

    Thanks,
