Backup not completing

I just installed updraftplus yesterday, and I cannot get it to perform a successful backup.
It runs for over an hour and then fails to complete the backup, giving no error code or reason at all. Apparently most of that time is waiting to resume the backup – it keeps extending the resumption time.Here are the last couple dozen lines of the log:
