    Hi @veho

The issue is most likely caused by web server of your source website.
Please carefully follow the steps below for each site.

On the site where you made the backup:
    1. Go to our plugin settings and open “Other options” section
    2. Enable alternate download method: https://prnt.sc/1slr41w
    3. Save that section
    – No need to make new backup

Now, go to the site where you want to restore your backup:
    1. Open “Other options” section as well
    2. Disable PHP CLI checking: https://prnt.sc/1sljr31
    3. Save that section
    4. Force both processes to stop: https://prnt.sc/1trv1tm
    5. Try to run the migration again with the same URL

If that won’t work, please repeat the “force both processes to stop” step.
Once you do that, download your backup and try to upload it manually.

You can upload your backup via FTP, cPanel or our Upload Area.

Let me know if that solves your issue ??
    Thank you!

also i cant make a new backup because its too big.. the last one had 1.3 GBB and now it would have 9 GB.. but I havent changed anything on my website.. why did it grow so much??

    Hi @veho

Could you please confirm if the backup is visible on the backup(s) list where you have created it?

You also don’t have to make new backup as I pointed in my previous reply.

My guess for now is that your source server cancelled the download process of your backup file before it could finish, that’s why you ended up with damaged file.
    – If the backup is visible on the list, it should be completely fine.

Simply enable alternate download method and download your backup once again.

I tried again.. it still says that my backup is invalid..

i can see the backup where i created it.. and i can also easily use it there.. it only wont work on the site where i want to transfer it to

    Hi @veho

Alright, what if you try to download the backup via FTP then upload it via FTP?
If the backup is displayed on this list: https://prnt.sc/zjdBmQVYE8Rz it’s valid.
    – Mentioned list can display only readable and complete backups.

i can not upload it to the https://ftp.. there is an error..

    Hi @veho

Do you see any error in your FTP application?
Also please, make sure you have enough space to upload it.

the backup file has 1.3 GB and i have 1.5 GB free space.. is this too less?

    (@iclyde)

    Hi @veho

Should be enough, but if you tried to upload the backup before, you can try to remove all other .zip files in backups directory – I guess that should give you more space and allow you to upload valid file.

    (@veho)

i already deleted all the other backup files and this is the error i get:

Failed to copy files storage to destination path. stderr: filemng: Error writing /var/www/vhosts/persenbeug.at/habsburg.at/wp-content/backup-migration-YP2HRJsdnC/backups/BM_Backup_2022-06-09_09_02_29_nD0TyqafiBIuQbN7.zip.ykb1JF System error 122: Disk quota exceeded stdout: filemng: Error writing /var/www/vhosts/persenbeug.at/habsburg.at/wp-content/backup-migration-YP2HRJsdnC/backups/BM_Backup_2022-06-09_09_02_29_nD0TyqafiBIuQbN7.zip.ykb1JF System error 122: Disk quota exceeded

Does this mean i still have too less space?

When i download a “normal” ftp backup.. not with your plugin.. it has 9.5 GB and with your plugin it only has 1.3 GB..

    Hi @veho

Error: System error 122: Disk quota exceeded means that you don’t have enough space to write the file, i.e. finish upload of it.

Our backup does not include other backup files and these files that are not meant to be backed up. FTP backup may also include our backups.
    – It only keeps files that are needed to clone your website – media/content/database.

    Thread Starter veho

    (@veho)

ok so i have to get more space and than i can try to install the backup again..?

When i would now make a new backup with your plugin it would also have 9 GB.. although i didn’t made any changes on the site.. do you know why??

    (@iclyde)

    Hi @veho

I need more details of what data is backed up exactly.
It should be all logged, in your backup logs.

You can download them at backup(s) list and send it back to me.
Please use https://pastebin.com as long text shouldn’t be posted at this forum.
    – With these logs I can tell you more about the size.

Also, please let me know if 9 GB is about our backup or your FTP backup.
I don’t think we affect your FTP backup in any way.
