backup hangs, no error

Version 1.16.60
For the second time, a backup has hung, with no errors or warnings in the log file. Last log message indicates it was working on the 4th uploads zip file (there should be 6 total). It started at 6:16, the last message was at 6:16, it’s now 7:25. Since there’s no way to cancel it, will it still be using resources? Does the process stop eventually? No status bar displaying, so couldn’t stop it.
It also happened some days ago, but there has been at least one successful backup since.
No zip files uploaded to googledriveSince there was an update waiting, updated to 1.16.61.
Started new backup at 7:30
at 7:52 got this message “Failed to get backup job lock; possible overlapping resumptions – will abort this instance (Aug 30 07:51:23)”
So, I don’t know if the first backup, started at 6:16 is still running?If there is no “completed” message, and no “failed” message for the first instance, how do I know if it has stopped?
