Hi – My backup hangs at 3779.243 (8) Table wp_pttl_itsec_logs: Total expected rows (approximate): 2386

I’m using the most current version of Updraft Plus and WordPress. Nothing has changed on the server (shared hosting) that I’m aware of, and I haven’t made any changes to plug-ins, etc. This started two days ago. I’ve provided a link to a PDF of the log file .
    Thank you

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

Please could you ask your hosts to check the MySQL server error log for any issues that are occurring around the time of the backup?
Could they also check the PHP error logs for any errors or timeouts occurring around the time of the backup?

I cleared my error log, ran UpdraftPlus, and then check the log to see the following. It doesn’t mean anything to me, but perhaps to you?

This seems to be the key line:

mysqldump: Error 2020: Got packet bigger than ‘max_allowed_packet’ bytes when dumping table wp_pttl_itsec_logs at row: 1009

    Hi,

It appears that there is a large piece of data that is larger than the current maximum allowed packet size.

Please could you ask your hosts/server admin to check the ‘max_allowed_packet’ configuration (this should be found in the my.cnf file), and increase this if possible.

I would also recommend increasing the PHP memory limit if possible.

Hi – It seems it is a problem with the security log file. I’ve modified the option for iThemes Security Pro to put the log in a text file rather than in the database, and then I cleared the database. This has fixed the problem. So, it’s not a problem with Updraft Plus, I believe. THanks for your help.
