Backup Gets Stuck

    I have been trying for several days to run a backup. It gets so far and then stalls. After sitting at the same place (no new log entries) for several hours, I have cancelled the jobs. I have set Split Archives setting to 25 MB. The first couple of times the job seemed to hang while backing up plugins. On the most recent run, it went a fair bit further and was on uploads28 when it hung. I started the job at 15:28. By 15:49 it appeared to hang and there were no further log entries until 21:21 when I stopped the job. At that time the next resumption message sitting at 20602s.

    Hi,

    It shows that the backup process still gets timed out or killed off even when the split archive size is set to 25mb.

    Please ask your hosts/server admin to investigate their PHP error logs. These logs should contain more information on the exact issue that is causing the backup process to halt.
