    Hi @kirsten1477

Yes you’re correct it seem like the free space function returns negative number which to be honest, is impossible which means the function was modified most likely by your hosting provider.

But our plugin can also detect write errors, in most cases if write error appeared during file backup, there is not enough space for it.

You can change storage path anytime in second section of our plugin, you can also set there path which is outside of WordPress directory and you know that you have enough space for it within that directory.

You can also try to download and remove old backups.

Our plugin shouldn’t allow you to set incorrect path, but in case it will happen:
    a) Make sure that directory is writable for PHP (correct permissions).
    b) Make sure that this directory is within allowed paths by php.ini (open_basedir)

Let me know if that resolves your issue ??
    Thank you!

    Hi @kirsten1477

    My apologies for delayed reply.

Please check in your hosting provider what’s your available disk space at this moment.

For the backup you need at least 1.96 GB.

If you don’t have enough space, consider to remove some files that you don’t use anymore or upgrade your current hosting plan / buy more disk space.

Let me know what’s your hosting provider ??
    Thank you!

    Hi @iclyde ,

thank′s for your reply ! I already contacted my provider, it′s a small local server. I′ll get more space – then I′ll try the backup again.
