    Hi,

    Debug code?: BMI-JGezvsSd-06192

Backup failed multiple times because of a (false) lack of storage space. The log states :
“Reason: Error, there is most likely not enough space for the backup.”

I have tried making backups multiple times, with different size configurations (without the media uploads, for example), but no matter the predicted size (up to 1 Gb), it crashes.

I have already made several backups prior to the one I’ve been trying to do this week. They were approximately the same size but worked flawlessly.

I have checked on the server, I’m using 1162 Gb out of the 5000 I have, I don’t see why this error occurs.

    Thank you for your help

    Thomas (cgteducversailles)

    Hello @cgteducversailles ,

Please try with alternate backup method, that can bypass this limitation.
Simply, follow below steps, there are also other things you can improve.

Please open first section of the plugin named: “What will be backed up?”
Find subsection named: “Exclude by folder / file name (case-sensitive)”
Here add these three rules, like on image: https://prnt.sc/9oftADPd_Z7e

Once you do that, please follow these steps:

    1. Go to “Other options” section
    2. Change backup method: https://prnt.sc/1s1ofpa
    3. Disable PHP CLI checking: https://prnt.sc/1sljr31
    4. Save “Other options” section
    5. Force stop both processes: https://prnt.sc/1trv1tm

When you do that, try to run your backup once again.

Let me know if that worked for you ??
    Thank you!

    Hello @mixha

Thank you for the quick answer and the solution to my problem: the backup process was a success! Thank you very much!

I already had configured my backup with the 5 steps (changing the backup method, etc.), but excluding the .tmp, .zip and .gz files did the trick.

I don’t understand, though, why it suddenly became a problem for the backup process.

    Cheers !

    Hey @cgteducversailles , I am glad that worked! ??

The problem was with the configuration of your website/server, that was preventing the plugin to properly check the free space. Once that was bypassed, the backup process finished successfully.
