    Hi there,

I am having some problems with this website. I believe there may be a server misconfiguration.

Now, the Backup didn’t work either. If you can figure out, what the issue is, I would very much appreciate!

    Hello Julia @seepferdchen236 ,

Please open first section of the plugin named: “What will be backed up?”
Find subsection named: “Exclude by folder / file name (case-sensitive)”
Here add these three rules, like on image: https://prnt.sc/9oftADPd_Z7e

Once you do that, please follow these steps:

    1. Go to “Other options” section
    2. Change backup method: https://prnt.sc/1s1ofpa
    3. Disable PHP CLI checking: https://prnt.sc/1sljr31
    4. Save “Other options” section
    5. Force stop both processes: https://prnt.sc/1trv1tm

When you do that, try to run your backup once again.

Let me know if that worked for you ??
    Thank you!

    Hi @seepferdchen236

In backup method you used, such things shouldn’t happen, you should’ve receive error window.
My assumption is that free space returned from the server, does not give real value.

Basing on the output you received, it actually may be the case.
Because of that it may be not enough space to write final batches to the ZIP file.

To confirm that could you please perform these steps:

    1. Make one backup:
      – Without database
      – With Plugins+Themes+Other files in wp-content directory only
    2. If it succeeds download that backup to your PC and remove it from server, then make second backup:
      – Exclude database as well
      – With Uploads directory only
    3. Same thing there, download it and remove from server and make last third backup:
      – With database only
      – Without any files included

If these three will success, you can restore them one by one and the same order, database at the end.
With that approach the restoration or migration will be still valid, but I hope now to fit into your available disk space.

I hope that your Uploads directory takes less than 50% of entire size, then it should be completely fine, if my assumption is right.

You need at least 1 GB of free space for the backup.

Let me know if that worked ??
    Thank you!

I wasn’t able to get the server of my client to allow the backup. That’s why I switched to UpdraftPlus Backup and used Dropbox as backup drive. That works fine. But I am really impressed by your plugin and your great support. I am looking forward to using your plugin on other websites with normal, uncomplicated hosting. Thank you very much.
