    Hi
I am trying to backup my website to either my email or either my google drive. But I have a fail result.

Here the end of the log:

    5018.818 (11) Requesting backup semaphore lock (dd8e2d3190cd)

5018.821 (11) [Updraftplus] The backup is being aborted for a repeated failure to progress.
5018.821 (11) An error condition has occurred for the f irst time during this job
    5018.822 (11) [Lock option (updraft_lock_dd8e2d3190cd, wp_options) released] info
5018.823 (11) No email will/can be sent – the user has not configured an email address.
5018.823 (11) The backup attempt has finished, apparently unsuccessfully

Could you please explain what is wrong. I have used that plugin in the past and it was working just fine.
    Thanks

    Hi,

Please could you send us a copy of the latest full backup log?

This can be found in the UpdraftPlus Existing Backups tab.
The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Dropbox or Pastebin, and post the link here.

Thanks for your help. I tried on another website we have done and same problem.
    Thanks!

    Hi,

“4424.953 (9) [Warning] Email: backup_2021-03-25-1548_MermaidHooping_75ddf9a90e13-uploads.zip: This backup archive is 193.8 MB in size – the attempt to send this via email is likely to fail (few email servers allow attachments of this size). If so, you should switch to using a different remote storage method.”

I would recommend to not send the backups via email. That is causing the backup to fail as the file is just to big for email attachment.

    Best Wishes,
    Bryle
