backup error

    Hi, had some problems with the initial backup. Got the error message below and something to do with the email address. Changed that but still no good. Any ideas? I really want my site backed up, there’s quite a few days work in it and I haven’t got this to work yet, thanks

    Hi @georgem370

    Looks like you’re having an issue which was already fixed.
    It’s mostly related to strange table names in your database.

    As you’re premium user you should contact us directly via email:
    Here: [ support (at) backupbliss dot com ]

    You can send us here your site info (download it under trouble shooting section -> advanced settings -> site info)

    And if it’s possible for you, you can also send us screenshot of table names of your database – so, we may spot the char.

    • How is your script defining what is a strange name?
    • And secondly, why do you not get this error on other database backup plugins?
    • Thirdly, does this particular error identified only by your script render the backup useless?

    Hi wireB,
    thanks for responding. I solved the problem by closing that backup account and moving to Updraftplus which seems much better for my needs. Also I’m a newbie on WP so still finding my way around. My hosting server has been having a few problems of late but that looks fixed now. My site has only been up for a few days so still sorting out what’s going on. Have also had some database connection errors which I’m still working on (possibly related to hosting issues). Have been using terminal to edit the back end but was wondering if an FTP might be easier? any ideas, thanks

    Unfortunately the coder foe this plugin is missing in action here at www.remarpro.com. Using FTP to copy the DB to your local drive is another alternative.

    Or is any input needed from our side?

    Hi, this plugin looks like it’s for older WordPress sites, mine’s only been up a week or so. Sorry but are you with backupbliss or updraftplus?

    Backupbliss was made for all types of sites for the new one as well.

    It was tested from WP 4.6 all over to 5.7.
    That’s why it’s quite important for us to help you.
