Backup download fail

    Hello there,

    first: I agreed to rework on a current WP site for a NGO in my city. They looked for someone to do that for free as they rely on donations themselves. Hosting is done by some small company nearby (and I do not know if these guys there made some restrictions concerning backup or downloading from WP storage etc.).

    To the issue:
    I already tried several things to solve this on my own, unfortunately without any success. It’s about downloading my backup files to my local storage.
    Everytime I click on that link to open a “save to” window an error message appears or download will not be successful.

    I tried a different browser (Chrome – I used Firefox before), which was completely new installed, as well as some other backup plugins … but still these errors occur and it’s driving me mad. I also deleted and re-installed Updraftplus, still the same error.

    I hope you guys might know a solution to that… I am almost done with that project as I cannot solve these things. Many thanks in advance!

    Hi,

    The files seems to have been corrupted. This can occur during download. Can you try downloading the files via FTP?

    thanks for your answer!
    Unfortunately, I do not have any access to FTP… do you know any other solution?
