Backup does not download to computer

    Hello,

    I have been using the plugin for a year and I am satisfied. My website is under 500mb as it is new and I am using the free version

    This is the first time I encounter the problem. When I create a backup on my local server the backup works and it creates a 380mb backup. When I want to download the backup it gives a complete download message within a few seconds. However, the downloaded file is corrupt. How Can I Solve This?

    You don’t need to download the file from your local computer.
    You can use it from wp-content/ai1wm-backups folder.

    Why the backup gets corrupted when you download it?
    – I have no idea but it might be related to the webserver configuration somehow.

    Hello Yani,

    Thank you for the quick answer. I had the same problem on my 2 different websites that are online now. In one I deleted and reinstalled the plugin. sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Do you have any advice on this matter? Or ways I can try?

    You could try using a Download Manager like uGet or download the file via FTP

    Hello Yani,

    I did what you said. But when I tried to restore the backup I got the following error

    ”The file type that you have tried to upload is not compatible with this plugin. Please ensure that your file is a .wpress file that was created with the All-in-One WP migration plugin. Technical details”

    ? have have new info;

    I found the source of the problem. All In One Migration ” creates a backup but tells you the backup is complete before it is complete and shows the download button. If the user downloads a backup with this button, the downloaded backup cannot be restored and is corrupt.

    However, it will create a full backup if the “Download created backup” screen is closed and the “All In One Migrations” plug-in is given enough time to complete the backup. After waiting for a while, it is possible to download and restore a full backup file.
