I went to Settings and elected to have my backups stored via FTP. I entered the settings and path and hit the “test FTP” button- it connected and said everything appeared to be working fine. Next, I went to the “Current Status” tab and hit the “backup” button. It said it successfully performed the backup, but I wanted to make sure my files were indeed there. So I went in via FTP to my site and looked in the directory that I entered in the Settings tab, but there was nothing in the folder. Does that mean it didn’t work or were the backup files just sent somewhere else?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi mickapoo,

From the description, it sounds like you didn’t save the settings after entering them, before you started the backup? There’s a “Save Settings” button at the bottom of the settings tab.

    Best wishes,
    David

    Thanks for the response.

I’m almost positive that I did, but let me retry. Stay tuned…

    Hi,

If so, then please can you provide a link to your log file for a problematic backup? (You can download it from the “Existing Backups” tab of your UpdraftPlus settings page).

It’ll be too long to paste into the forum here, but you can download it to your computer, and share it with Dropbox, or paste it in pastebin.com, or any similar service, and post the link here.

    Best wishes,
    David
