Backup creates far too large Other folders

    Hello,
    when I look at the website size, it shows that for others it is 8.5 MB.

    During a backup, a total of 1.4 GB of storage space is used for this.

    What could be the reason?

    P.S.:
    Additional Information.
    It seems that it only happens through automatic backup. A manual backup creates a smaller Others folder, that seems correct to me.

    Hi,

    Others component contains files created by your plugins and themes. You can check download and manually check the content of the folder.

    Hello Bryle,
    thanks for advise.
    I found that the whole images where stored in folders for upload an once more to the folders for others.
    So every picture file is generated twice.

    If I start the backup manually, the images are only in the upload and not in the other folder.
    Why does the backup behave differently when it runs automatically?

    Can you download and unpack your others folder and take a screenshot of what is inside?

    Hello,
    here is a screenshot of the others folder(s) from scheduled backup
    (daily 3:49 am)

    And this is a manual backup of others folder (8:21 am)

    Both backups were created today.

    I am now trying to solve this problem by adding the “Exclude these from Others” option to the upload folder.

    I will wait for the next automatic backups this week. When the problem is solved I will come back and report.
