Backup contains old password, infected plugins

    My site got hacked, and Updraft contains the hacked plugins. I’d restore an old Updraft but there’s nothing old enough thats unhacked.

    On a clean WP install, as soon as I restore everything using Updraft, I’m thrown out and can no longer access my site since the old hacked admin details are in the restore.

    If I try to click on New Password, it sends the request to the email, but does not process the change request.

    It looks as if I’m stuffed and will have to completely start from scratch but before I have to do that has anyone got ideas?

    Start with a clean install again and restore just the DB and the Uploads, and install fresh copy of the plugins and themes as these are the most likely source of the infection.
