    Hello!

    I am using UpdraftPlus version 1.16.26 on a site with WP version 5.2.10 and PHP 5.6.

    UpdraftPlus is set to back up the website on the 15th of each month.

    UpdraftPlus successfully backed up the website on March 15.

    The backup process failed on April 15.

    No major changes to the site were made between March 15 and April 15.

    The error message reads
    Errors encountered:
    * The backup is being aborted for a repeated failure to progress.

    I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this issue.

    Hi Melissa,

    I can see that you are still using the old version of our plugin (1.16.26). Please update to latest version (1.16.53) and them attempt a new backup. Let us know here if you are still getting the same issue.

    Thanks for your response.

    I updated UpdraftPlus to version 1.16.53 and re-ran the Backup.

    From the look of it, the backup does not appear to have been completed.

    On the WordPress dashboard, the following message is shown under ‘Last log message’:
    Zip: backup_2021-04-18-0026_AlphaProfit_80d9dd29e651-uploads.zip.tmp: 2500 files added (on-disk size: 271038.9 KB) (Apr 17 20:02:37)

    I have copied the backup log at https://pastebin.com/xcWCLB8Y.

    I did not receive any email notification at all after the backup.

    I will appreciate your assistance in resolving this issue.

    Hi Melissa,

    Please go to your ‘settings’ tab, down to the ‘expert’ section, and there reduce the ‘split’ size to 75MB. Then save settings, and try a fresh backup. This ought to resolve it for you.
