Backslashes being removed in email HTM & Text format

I manage an intranet site which I extensively use Contact Form 7 to give the employees to report production issues and request processes to be handled. I was recently informed that one of the request forms which is used for a file restore that requires a path to the file. That path looks like this \\servername\direectory\subdirectory\

Up until 7/6/2020, the email that was sent from the form worked perfectly. However, after that date all the emails comeback as \servernamedireectorysubdirectory
