I’m finding the backslash escape character is getting introduced wherever apostrophes exist (ie, “we\’ll” for “we’ll”) when I edit and save existing comments in CommentPress Core’s “Edit Comment” option in the right sidebar where the comments display. If I go back into edit mode and delete the backslashes, they reappear when I save the changes. The only way I’ve found to delete them permanently is to edit and save in the “Comments” menu interface from the site dashboard. Is there a way to prevent the intrusion of these escape characters when editing directly on the front end? The problem persists whether one is editing in “visual” or “text” mode. Thanks!
