Backorders Split

This is an amazing plugin!!! What I need it to do, specifically, is split an order into two orders.
1) An order with items and quantities that are in stock
2) An order with items and quantities that are on backorder.

So, for example, in my store I have 12 cans of soup and 14 bars of soap. Someone orders 19 cans of soup and 6 bars of soap. When the order is placed, it is split into
1) 12 cans of soup and 6 bars of soap
2) 7 cans of soup.

This feature would be hugely valuable for us. We have had a lot of clients request a feature like this but we have been unable to oblige them.
