    Hello,

I have a product with “Allow Backorders” set to “Do not allow” with stock 3 but a customer purchased a quantity of 10.

I tried to replicate the situation myself but I am not able to buy more than 3.

    WordPress version is – 6.7
    WooCommerce Version is – 9.4.1

  • Hi @manuelserol,

    Thank you for reaching out.

It’s quite unusual for a customer to be able to purchase more than what’s available in the stock, especially when you’ve set the “Allow Backorders” option to “Do not allow”. In normal circumstances, WooCommerce should prevent customers from purchasing more than the available stock.

Given that you’re unable to replicate the issue, one possibility could be due to a caching issue, where an outdated version of your product page was served to the customer.

In any case, I would recommend checking your WooCommerce settings and clearing any site caches you might have.

    I hope this helps.
