I have backups being sent successfully to a remote Synology server over SFTP.

I have checked the box in expert settings to delete local files, but copies of the backup are still being saved on my WordPress site.

    Please can you advise.

  • Hello,

Could you share your latest backup log file from the Backup / Restore >> Existing backups section as shown here using pastebin.com please?

    Hello,

Please could you check the link as there seems to be an issue with it.

    Hopefully this worked!

Your log is saying that the files on your server are being deleted. Can you take a screenshot of the files in your wp-content/updraft directory?

Here is a screenshot of the updraft directory and most recent contents: https://pasteboard.co/BrJ4N9rQN71C.png

And here is the latest log: https://pastebin.com/t7gcQzmZ

So, it looks like it might be deleting the local copies. Can you tell me what the dashboard indicates? It is neither a list of backups on the local server (because there are none) nor my remote storage (which is holding about 7).

    Thanks.

    Hello,

It appears that no backups are being stored locally and you have 3 backup sets stored remotely that are registered in the database. To add the others (if you have only one site using this remote storage location) click the rescan remote storage link in the Existing backups section as shown here.

Right, I think I figured that out. Thanks.

My assumption was that the display on the dashboard was for locally stored files. I might be the only one to find that confusing, but I wonder if it would help to have two displays on the dashboard: one for locally stored sets (which would have clearly registered as none for me), and another for remotely stored sets. Hope this is a helpful suggestion!

These are just your log files, they are very small in size and will automatically be deleted when the backups are deleted.
