Ok… Was having this problem last night: I’m unable to see anything but the background image on our site. I turned off the computer and went to bed. This morning 1st thing I typed the url in the address bar to check; everything was fine. Logged into my dashboard to post a blog, but when I previewed the post I got only the background again. Asked a friend to check the site and everything was fine on his end. I did traceerts, cleared my cache etc. Still only the background. I use Firefox, so I checked it in IE (didn’t log into the dashboard, just typed in the URL) and it was fine (well, as fine as IE can be).

Went back to Firefox and viewed the page source on my background image only home page and see that the code isn’t complete! I closed and reopened my browser and navigated to the URL and it was displaying fine again. Check the source code and found it to be complete. Logged back into the admin dashboard and hit “view site” and nothing but a background image again! Source code is incomplete.

You WILL be able to view my site, but I can’t when I’m logged in.

My other WPress site is just fine, so are my other static sites on the same webhost.

    Any ideas?

  • Maybe it’s a plugin problem. If you are using a cache plugin, disable it.

Also, your web ring does not display properly and the code is incompatible. I’d recommend getting rid of it.

Well, I don’t know why but I deactivated and reactivated my plugins and it seems fine now!!

Thanks for the push in the right direction… and I took out that ring banner too.
