Background not working

    I have tried to change the colour of the background but it does not work. It stays a grey background and the widgets in the side column fall onto the grey so it looks like the page is broken.

    Am I trying to fix this in the correct place? I go to appearance, then background then I reset the background as white (as this will prevent it from looking “broken”) but then nothing happens.

    Hello Alex,
    Are you using background image setting provided by theme and wordpress customize settings at once? Please check you have not set the background image and then try the color change.

    Let me know how this works, so I can close this.

    Hello Alex
    The theme has background image for body in styles.css

    You may want to edit css and remove the background image property before you apply color to background.
