Background not showing up on mobile

  • I have never need to look at my website from my iPhone before but yesterday I tried it just to see how it looked. One of the main features and eye catching part of my site is the main picture that is on the homepage. However, when on my mobile device, everything loaded except the main picture, it was just grey.

    Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?

  • The main picture loads for me, but slowly. I thinks its just too big an image for web use and on a mobile the download speeds might sometimes be too slow for it to load in a reasonable time.

    Its 8587Kb and 5000px wide. For web use, try reducing to 1200px wide which will reduce the file size to 500 kb. The smaller the file the quicker it’ll load. Reduce the size until the quality starts to fall off.
