Background image issue. Remains white.

Ive made a custom theme with a header index and footer and different css pages.

For some reason my background image which i have set in my css file doesnt work on wordpress but it does work on normal html page.

This is what i have set.

html, body{background: url:(Images/bground_grey.gif) repeat; top left margin:0; padding:0;}

As far as i can tell the url is correct. Below is the directory setup.

Theme folder>

custom theme>

.css + php pages + images folder>

bgimage.gif

Any ideas? thanks
