I’m started using this theme because I wanted a single image to be the background to the website that was static and did not move if you scrolled on the site. However, when I removed the image that came with the theme and uploaded my own, my image doesn’t fit the whole screen. I’ve gone in photoshop and enlarged the photo, but it doesn’t make a difference at all. The site is https://www.shuku2salon.ca if anyone can please tell me what I’m doing wrong?

  • Hi, did you upload the image thru

Appearence > Theme options > Homepage Slider ?

I’d installed it and try it, it works fine!

    Let me know about it!

Yes, I’ve uploaded the image in the homepage slider area as well as the regular background image option. When I tried a different random photo, it covered the whole page but for some reason this specific photo I want to use won’t, no matter what size I make it in photoshop. This is driving me crazy!

    Hi dymd3z,

I think the problem is the image proportions ??
If you keep the 1920 x 1080 ratio your image will cover the screen for sure!

Also, I would recommend to always optimize your images to improve loading speed; this image that you are using is 1.6 Mb and I′m sure that it could be lighter without downgrading quality.

I use an online tool that I think can help you with it:
    https://compressjpeg.com/

Let me know if that helps!

Thanks bensita it helped and my picture now covers the whole page. The width needs to be larger than the height, otherwise if the picture is too square it won’t work.
