• Hey all. Love this plugin but am having some real issues with another plugin (Restaurant Reservations 1.5.2)

The reservations form works just fine on a page until I use page-builder and add a row, then it vanishes altogether!

The reason I want to use pagebuilder on this booking page is so that I can have a background cover image behind the form.

I have contacted the plugin dev and they suggest that the visual dev/beaver dev forum is the better place to ask this question. So here I am ??
Is the only way to get around this to go and create some custom CSS to show background image for the form?

All these plugins confuse me these days – I grew up using coffeecup HTML editor and did it all manually.. long but at least I knew what was going on. So much is hidden behind drag and drop these days!

    Hi Fortuzero,

How are you adding the booking form to your page? Are you using the shortcode on a page and then loading the page builder or are you using the widget?

    Thanks,
    Danny

    Hey Danny,

Thanks for the reply! I did not paste any (short)code into the page or frame/element manually – the restaurant reservations plugin created a menu in the plugins section of wordpress from which you can select the page to which you want the form added. So I guess the short answer is I used the widget.

I get the feeling it would work if I could do it the other way (ie by using a link or shortcode to embed the form manually into the pagebuilder row?)

    Hey Matt,

The problem here is that the plugin you’re using is tapping into the the_content filter similar to we are. It’s just that ours override what is currently on the page, and this is the reason why the forms disappear.

I did check and it seems you can call the form via a shortcode. Can you use that instead?
