For some reason the latest version and all versions of elementor are now causing major issues with background images that are being used within sections.

This wasn’t a problem a few weeks ago, and randomly this issue has cropped up.

When i set a section on a page, for example a hero section. It will contain an inner section, with text on the left. The parent section will have 100vh set, along with middle alignment, so the text within the inner section is aligned in the middle of the parent section.

I then add a background image to the parent section, and set it to contain, and center right, so it appears to the right of the text, and is contained within the parent section.

When viewing this in elementor it displays correctly for desktop, laptop. However when vieweing it on the front-end in the browser as a normal user the background image blows up bigger than the container. When you refresh the page, the image displays correctly for a split second and then enlarges and blows up larger than the container.

Also the alignment breaks, and the text renders at the top of the section. However, in Elementor it displays correctly.

  • Hi,
Can you please send me a link to your website?

Also, this might be a conflict with another plugin, please deactivate all other plugins but leave the elementor one activated and check the layout.
