    Even if I deactivate the plugin, the problem persists. I indicate that it is the plugin since I made a backup before installing the plugin, when it happened to me and I couldn’t solve it, I restored with the backup, the background image thing was solved, I installed the plugin and again the background image disappears.

    From what you describe it sounds like a cache issue. Please purge all caches and give it another go.
