Background colour of Event Name

Hi,

I want to change the font colour and background colour of event name (in grid view and in list view).
Css is coming from

.mc-main .mc_general .event-title, .mc-main .mc_general .event-title a {
background: #ffffcc !important;
color: #000000 !important;
}

I am trying to overriding this css by writing in theme style sheet, but no luck.
