Unfortunately, the link you posted only gives me a 404 Not found error. Is that really a published page?

Can you maybe try the CSS code suggestions from https://tablepress.org/faq/ ?

I also tried with the default theme and my chosen colour was not reflected in the tables.

unfortunately, I still get the same Not found error ?? You will need to make this a published page. A private page or draft will not work as I can not see those without being logged in.

Regarding the CSS code that you posted in the other thread:
Have you tried unchecking the “Alternating row colors” checkbox on the table’s “Edit” screen? After that, your CSS code should work. If you want to keep the colors alternating, you should use the CSS code from https://tablepress.org/faq/change-color-alternating-rows/
