Background colors not spanning weekends on multiday events

Background colors fail to span weekends and also don’t always display the correct end date for multi-day events. Moreover, if events span more than one week, the maximum number of days displayed with a background color seems to be four, with the balance of the week in white. I reported this issue a while ago and we didn’t manage to get it fixed. I thought that my “go-around” would be to not use a background color, i.e. leaving it white (these are events to advise others in our community when we’ll be away traveling). However, the white bar seems to always extend to the end of the week, Saturday – so it’s confusing when someone is returning mid-week.
