    If you have a child theme, you should not be making any changes to the parent theme files at all. If you need to make a change, you copy that file to the child and make the change there. The exception to that is the functions.php file – if you copy that to the child theme, it WILL crash the site.

    Try it again and if you run into an error, ask about it and someone can help you sort it out :). You really don’t want to be modifying the default theme – you’re setting yourself up for a big mess down the road.

    It just says the child theme is broken :/ I have WordPress in Swedish, but i will try to translate what it says.. This is what it looks like on the theme page:

    “Broken theme. The following themes have been installed but are not complete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template.”

    EDIT: I added an empty index.php into the child theme folder and now it works, was this all i had to do?

    EDIT 2: It seems to work now
