Background color of post tiles

  • Hello.

    I am using theme sixteen (free version) and while I could change a lot of things by using child theme and custom css stylesheet, I can’t change the background of post tiles (thumbnail image and title) on the front page (showing recent posts). I would like to have a black bacground, now I have brown.

    Some help and guidance would be very appreciated.
