background-color not changing!?!

Hello –

I am redoing my site with word press and Im trying to implement my desing that I created but when I change my HEX code in the style sheet there is no change to the background. I have made other changes like text color and that works but I cannot change the BG color and/or make a background-image work.

I am using the default theme as a template to work over and I have made sure the css is writeable even though I am making the changes local and upload the css file.

I’m quite experienced with css but this is throwing me a loop and I have no idea what the deal is. I even look at the css in the back-end of WP and it show the HEX that I am trying to use but it is still not out-puting thet correct color. It just stays at the default…

Any Ideas? Thanks!
