background color for the content

Use a Browser Developer tool for this kind of CSS exploratory work.
I used Google Chrome’s Developer Tool and found the element, <div id="page"> that was being applied a black background colour (on right of toolbar) https://snag.gy/mkHga.jpg

Well when I try using that id and changing the background to say red. It only works on some of the pages and not all of the pages. I need a something to work on all of the pages.

Can you provide a link to the webpage that does not change the background?

all of the main pages, that it: home, looking-back, going-forward, contact, plus some of the articles didn’t change either.

You may have to add !important on the end of the style;
E.g

background-color: red !important;

using: div#page {background-color: red important;}

still didnt apply it to all the pages.

added the missing “!” and still same result.

Are you adding the CSS to your Custom CSS Manager plugin?
