I need to change the background of my site – I’m using twentyten weaver theme and have changed backround-color style of body, within <head> to to #FFFFFF

    however, this does not work.

Using firebug i have found that the background is set within the body tag itslef – this is where i am a bit confused – but i cannot find this information within the list of php files associated with the theme in the worpress editor…? There is something i’m missing here – i open up index.php but this information , i.e. body tag with style as shown in firebug, is not there. Could i just view source delete the background style and save the file via notepad as index – but this would be html and not php…right? apologise if this is not clear…but i’m not too clear on where stuff like the <head> tag is even stored….

    help?

  • WP3.0 has a background editor, and twentyten makes use of it.

Under your appearance tab on your admin menu, is there no background option?

You can change the background colour there, or use an image. Does that not do what you’d like?
