I added a background audio to stories, hosted on same site. But in console I am getting following error :

amp-story source must start with “https://” or “//” or be relative and served from either https or from localhost.

How can I ensure that generated url is a relative url?

    Hi there,

Can you share the URL to your story so we can better assist you?

Is your site using HTTPS? As the message implies, it’s recommended to use HTTPS.

Just like WordPress itself (for good reasons), the Web Stories plugin uses absolute URLs everywhere.

no, the site is not https. It is just on http.

Since the URL was “auto” generated by the word press plugin (Web Stories), and it was not allowing me to add url, I went ahead and changed the link in the generated html in the database itself. That kept me going.

But it may be a good feature to let user edit the audio link from the editor’s property inspector itself.

    thanks for responding

Thanks for your swift response and your feature suggestion.

We highly recommend setting up HTTPS in order to be able to access all features in the story editor and the Web Stories format itself.
