backend – product data dropdown / variations are not exists

    Hi,

    I have made fresh installation for WordPress and WooCommerce plugin on local macOS machine using Valet.

    All seemed well until I noticed while adding new product from backend page, there is not dropdown menu next to the product data nor variation tab as shown below

    Also whenever I add attribute, it doesn’t save.

    Hi @ahawad ,

    As I understand, the option to select the product type does not appear on your local site.

    It seems that a plugin or theme might be conflicting on your site preventing the product type options from loading. Please do a conflict test on your site as per the steps below:

    The best way to determine if the issue is being caused by a theme and/or plugin is to temporarily switch your theme to Storefront (https://woocommerce.com/products/storefront/?aff=10486&cid=1131038) and disable all plugins except for WooCommerce. Finally, test to see if the issue is resolved by checking if product type options show when you add the product.

    To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, continue to the next step – reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict.

    my dear, this is fresh installation, there is no other plugins installed except WooCommerce.

    I’m already using the WooCommerce storefront theme.

    this is a repetitive issue everytime I try new WordPress installation / WooCommerce

    there is no errors/wannings whatsoever in the page debug.

    Hi @ahawad ,

    It is strange that you’re getting the error even when no other plugins or theme is active.

    Can you please check if you have any fatal errors on your site? You can check it by going to WP Admin → WooCommerce → Status → Logs. From the right side dropdown, select “Fatal” logs, then click the “view” button to see the log. If you have any fatal logs, please copy and paste it here so I can check and help further.

    I’m also facing the exact same issue. There is no dropdown menu near product data. I tried re-installing WordPress and WooCommerce plugin but it didn’t solve the issue. Let me share my log:

    Just make sure you are not using any beta versions (WordPress and/or woocommerce) that was the issue in my case.

    No, I don’t think I’m using beta version. I downloaded both wordpress and woocommerce from www.remarpro.com and they(what I’m using) are not beta versions

    I’m not using a beta version. I uninstalled wordpress and installed it again. Even did that with woocommerce. But the issue still exists.
