Theme’s homepage says: Navigate to Appearance → Customize → Featured Content. Featured Content is not there.

Read online and installed Jetpack and there was no option for portfolio. Installed featured content in another area. All this allowed me to do was choose a tag for featured content and nothing else.

No place in Settings – Writing to enable portfolio or featured content.

Installed Portfolio Post Type plugin but this only allows portfolios in posts. I want pages.

Tried to use shortcode and it shows up as shortcode on the page with no portfolio in sight.

    Please help.

  • Hi there!

Have you activated Jetpack and connected it to WordPress.com? Once the plugin is setup, you should expect to see Featured Content in your Customize area.

For the Portfolio options, make sure the Custom Content Types module is activated in Jetpack. Once that’s on, you’ll see Portfolio listed along the left in your wp-admin (near Pages).

Let me know if you have any questions! (Please provide a link to your site so I can look for issues there if necessary.)

Thanks, I have the portfolio option now, but cannot get the slider to work. I have a featured image selected. Should there be only one image on the page?
I’m doing this with local host so I can’t send a link to the page.

Have you got your main page set to Portfolio at Settings > Reading at the top where it says, Front page displays?

On the page set to the Portfolio page template, it will display up to ten posts, pages and/or portfolio items.
