    Hi,
I can’t acces the admin backend any more.

The update to 6.5.1. went wrong, the plugin had disappeared from the admin section. Through FTP I renamed the wp-better-security folder, and did a new install for the plugin. This seemed to be all right, I checked some features and they looked as before to me.

The problem now is that I cannot access the backend any more: I get an error: ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS. I have the function ‘hide backend’ enabled.
The site itself seems to work fine, as far as I can see.

I’m not sure what to do now. I could try to access again by disabling the plugin in FTP, but I don’t know what to alter in the settings to prevent the problem.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Hello,

I am having a similar issue. I enable SSL through iThemes Security and I can not access the site anymore. The front end is fine but I can not log in into the dashboard.

I’ve tryied different things and the problem is still there:

    -Changing the pluging folder name
-Getting rid of some lines of code in the wp-config.php file according to official plugin intructions
-Checking the lockouts on the database

    What can I do?
