Back Up Saving to Local Drive

    Hello, I have a consistent problem where the local backup for Updraft is not deleting. I already enabled the “Delete Local Backup” option in WordPress and the backup is still not being deleted from my server. This is causing me to have to go to my hosting and delete the files manually as I keep getting warnings im going over my storage with my hosting due to this issue. Can anyone help me please? Thank you!

    Hi,

    Is the “Delete Local Backup” enabled? You can check this in the UpdraftPlus “Settings” tab > Show Expert Settings.

    Hello Bryle,

    Yes it is enabled. I did research before coming here and saw guidance on enabling that feature which I did months ago and it didnt change anything unfortunately.

    Hi,

    To help us work out the cause of your problem, can you please send us a copy of the backup log?
    This log can be found in the Existing Backups tab of the UpdraftPlus dashboard.
    If you cannot access the UpdraftPlus dashboard, then you can find the log file in the ‘wp-content/updraft’ directory via FTP or your hosts’ file manager.
