Back up content without backing up database?

  • Hey everyone,

    To make a long story short, my site was hacked a while back, people keep getting in and there’s some code in the database that I can’t clear.

    Is there a way for me to backup all my posts and images without having to backup my database (which has the injected code)? I was thinking of asking godaddy to just wipe my server so I can start from scratch.

  • Hi David,

    Posts are stored in the database, along with all other data. So even if you kept your images, they wouldn’t be referenced anywhere to be used.

    Does godaddy have a backup from before your site was hacked?
