Back slashes being added

    I added the Google Analytics code in the Network admin / Cookie Notice settings page. On saving the page, the field was updated to have a backslash before the single quote i.e. ' became \'

    And, everytime you resave the page, it adds extra slashes. These are then displayed in the output as you can see in the link in this post if you view source after accepting the cookie settings.

    Please can you take a look and fix this or suggest what I can do to change this automatic addition of the backslash
