    Hi

Im new to the calendar and maby this is some of my setting or other setting on my site but I think I found a bug. I have the latest version on all plugin and settings.

When I use the standard Tribe list view and only display 5 events on each page I can go to “Next” page a the bottom to see more events. On that next page I can click on one event and enter and read the content. But when I use the “Go back” function in Chrome I come to an error page “This page does not exist” instead of back to the list view.

If I do this on the first calendar list page there is no problem and all works well. It is only on the “Next” list pages this happends.

I dont have so many events so I solved it by display all my events on the start list so its no problem for me but you might want to check this out if its a bug in the calendar.

    Thanks for a great plugin!

  • Hi @webbmasterpianise

Glad you reached out and thanks for bringing this to our attention.

What you describe does not sounds like the expected behaviour. I wasn’t able to reproduce it in my test site. Just a basic install of WordPress, no page builder, 2020 theme and the Events Calendar plugins. In the List view, all events are listed, especially with only 5 events. The Next link is grayed out and is not active or functional so it will not go to another page.

Since the Next link is active for you, your site may have a conflict affecting the calendar. Here is a how-to guide with steps to follow see if a pager builder, theme or plugin are the issue:?https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/testing-for-conflicts/#look-for-solution.

I hope that helps and thanks writing in with it, and for the feedback.

    Best regards,
    Rob

Hi and thanks for reply. Since you can not reproduce it I have reset my list to the oroginal with 4 posts. You can check and see if you get the same behavour. I will keep the site as this for some days so you can test. I dont have the code skill to figure it out. I turned off my chashing plugins but that did not affect this error.

I now tested the same error in Chrome, Edge and Firefox.

    Go to:
    https://goteborgsmagiskaklubb.se/kalender/

Enter a event. Then use the “go back” arrow in your browser. You come back to the event list as expected.

Now on that page use the “Next” in the bottom of the list.

    You get to the page:
    https://goteborgsmagiskaklubb.se/kalender/lista/sida/2/

Enter any event on that page. (Example december 2022 m?n 5)

The event shows as expected. Now use the “go back” arrow in your browser.

You end up on a broken page that doesent exist. Even if it have the same URL as before.

Note. If you can not reproduce it and there is an error on my site for some reason I will again solve it by displaying all events on the main calendar page.

I just want to inform you of the issue ??

Hello @webbmasterpianise, I wasn’t able to replicate the issue as well. Have you tried doing the test for conflicts? It would also be good if you could provide a screen recording, of what you’re seeing on your end.

Appreciate you bringing this to our attention. I’d be looking forward to helping you solve this.

If you can not replicate it I guess the issue is on my site settings.

I dont have the skill to investigate the issue more so I set my calendar back to display all events and I dont have the issue.

I recorded what happend so you can see it it gives any lead to the problem.

    Video of the problem

By that Th issue is solved for me. Thanks for a grat calendar plugin!

    Hi @webbmasterpianise

Thanks for the video. How are you setting the limit to 5 events?

When I configure the Number of events to show per page (under Events> Settings) to 5, it still works as expected. And since the list of events is short, there is no “Next” link.

Anyway, I am glad you have resolved it on your site.

Thanks for the wonderful feedback, glad you are enjoying the plugin!

Yes, I used the setting under “General” to only show 5 per page. Now I set that to 20 and all my events is on one page. I have max 12 events on a year.

On next tab “Display” I use “Tribe Event Style” and “Standard page”

The theme I use is “Astra”.

    Hi @webbmasterpianise

Thanks for the follow up. I’m glad to hear the site’s working and running smoothly for you.

Please do not hesitate to create a new ticket for a different topic or issue. We’d be glad to help you out.
