I need to back up as much as possible because I am going to be moving my site. I don’t have a caching plug in, and don’t know what it would be safe to delete. I have a 4-year-old blog with about 1200 entries and 2 or more photos for each.

Do I just have to look elsewhere for Back up?

    Hi VeraMarie,

If you are just moving websites you could just do a Download backup. Disconnect from Online and disable encryption if you enabled it. Then create an unencrypted download backup. Make sure that the file downloads fully though when you download it (sometimes if it downloads too slow your server disconnects halfway through).

You’ll then just need to restore the backup on the new server by extracting contents and doing a manual restore of the database and then uploading the files. More on that in this topic:

Thanks Jason. I can do that. The download worked fine. Don’t know if I’ll be able to wrestle through the upload, but at least the database is safe for the moment.
