• hi,

after uninstalling your plugin my backend is still cached, i save content and they still not appear on the frontpage or even on the back end, i have to ctrl + f5 backend to see the content, i am unable to work any more to that website.

Is there any specific way to uninstall it besides just uninstal and delete? I am using wp-rocket as well if that helps you.

    regards

    Hi @apatsidis123,
If you have deactivated and deleted the plugin from WP Admin > Plugin section then I can assure you that at the time of uninstallation the plugin automatically deletes all the things that was added by the plugin. So, after deletion, no trace of the plugin is present inside the server or database.

That being said, as you are saying that your page is being cached, can you share your website URL or the response header of your webpages so that I can see what’s going on here…

Beside as you have said that you have to do Ctrl + F5 then it might be possible that you are facing this problem due to browser caching. That is the browser is caching the webpage. But without looking at the response header, it is hard to say anything specific. So, please share your website URL or the response header.

When i tried your plugin at that time i have tried also Cloudflare’s APO, but i have disabled that as well, for now im using only cloudflare cdn and wp rocket, without APO or your plugin, trying to fix the browser caching issue. The url is webenart.com.

As far as i know your plugin does broser caching is that corect?

    Hi @apatsidis123,
No this plugin doesn’t let pages stay cached in browser for long time as it focuses on caching pages on Cloudflare CDN.

Also, looking at the response header of the website, I do not see any cache-control header (Screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/m3IU24G.jpeg) so the browser maybeing doing a default caching. You can try having a cache-control of no-store, no-cache which will tell browser not to cache the page.

    hi,

i am not familiar on how to have cache-control of no-store, no-cache. A guide will be appreciated.

Besides that i think i have found that problem, there was a rule in my cloudfalre that page cached everything at all like webenart.com/*

The thing here is that i have never set any rule to cloudflare, so a plugin should added this. Is there any chance you plugin add that rule to cache everything with the asterisk * so also the backend /wp-admin?

As I said earlier, if the plugin has created the rule, then it will auto delete when you disable page cache inside the plugin or deactivate the plugin from the plugin section of wp admin. Anyways, if you have found the issue then delete the page rule and you would be good to go.

After removing the page rule if everything is ok then you don’t have to do anything else.

Yes you said that earlier, but 1st of all you say “if the plugin has created the rule” that means you dont know if the plugin add or dont add a rule! And 2nd that is not the 1st time im using a plugin that may does not work always fine! that is the reason update fixes come sometimes right? ?? So it could be any missconfiguration, could be something wrong with the API, could be i have delete the Client key before i uninstall the project i dont know what could be. But i am sure you agree that a lot of things could go wrong!

So would you kindly find out if your plugin creates any rules? bcs my guess is it does! that is the description, it gets advantage of the 3 free page rule cloudflare provides ?? so i would be happy if you answer me that ??

    regards!

but 1st of all you say “if the plugin has created the rule” that means you dont know if the plugin add or dont add a rule!

When you enable the plugin it creates the cache everything rule for your website URL. But when you deactivate the plugin it auto deleted the rule it created.

That is what i am saying to you Saumya ?? its been a long time i have deactivated and removed the plugin, but it did not sucesfully deleted the rule.

I purchased cloudflare premioum so i can have a suport, and they told me there is a rule on your page that caches everything, this is how i found out ?? So as you see, sometimes things are not work as expected!!!

    thanks for your time ??

    Hi,
are you sure that you have deactivated and deleted the plugin from WP Admin > plugin section and not via FTP?

    Thread Starter trying-my-best

    (@apatsidis123)

yes 100%, i never do through ftp, no reason to do it, much more time consuming thatn deactivating and deleting, so yes i can ensure you.
